NOWA SERIA WEBER AQUA MAXWater softener WEBER AQUA SOFT - W2 is a WEBER brand device, which is extremely popular on the Polish market. The softener has been equipped with a number of new solutions to make water softening even easier and more efficient. The technical solutions introduced were based on the experience and recommendations of current WEBER users. Particularly noteworthy is, among other things, the hybrid, fully automatic supervision system of the softening process, as well as simple and intuitive control limited to setting only 3 parameters in the device (clock, time of starting the regeneration process, water hardness).

The softener from the Weber Aqua Soft - W2 line has an ion-exchange bed capacity of 25 liters. The manufacturer ensures correct operation of the device at water hardness of no more than 21 degrees on the German scale.

HOW DOES THE WEBER AQUA SOFT- W2 WATER SOFTENER WORK?

The main components of the WEBER AQUA SOFT - W2 are the ion exchange bed, brine tank, by-pass, control head and overflow protection. Water from the network flows through the ion exchange bed, which takes out the calcium and magnesium ions responsible for water hardness. In their place, sodium ions are transferred. In this way, water of much lower hardness is obtained.

Since water in different regions has different hardness, the softener is equipped with a by-pass, a device that allows you to adjust the softening power to the hardness of the water. In this way, the water hardness of interest to the user can be set precisely each time.

The ion-exchange bed, absorbing calcium and magnesium ions and emitting sodium ions, gradually loses its effectiveness during use, so it should be regenerated periodically. Regeneration is carried out in several stages and consists in flushing out calcium and magnesium ions from the bed and charging it with sodium ions. Charging with sodium ions is done with brine. Brine is created in the brine tank by dissolving salt tablets in water, which should be replenished regularly by the user. The entire process, with the exception of salt replenishment, is automatic, and the control head is responsible for its proper operation.

STAGES OF OPERATION OF THE WEBER AQUA SOFT - W2 SOFTENER

Water softening
The device operates normally. The water flows through the ion exchange bed and then goes to the water points as low hardness water. The softening process continues until water is consumed in the amount calculated by the softener on the basis of the entered water hardness.

The first cycle of bed regeneration - backwashing
Water from the network flows through the ion exchange bed, cleansing it of lime and magnesium ions. The water is then discharged into the sewer system. The duration of the cycle is 12 minutes.

Second cycle of bed regeneration - filling with brine and slow rinsing
Brine previously accumulated in the brine tank flows through the ion exchange bed, thus giving up sodium ions. During this cycle, partial rinsing of the bed and brine tank also takes place. The duration of the cycle is 40 minutes.

The third cycle of bed regeneration - refilling the brine bed
Mains water fills the brine tank again, thus preparing for the next regeneration process. The cycle duration is 4 minutes.

Fourth bed regeneration cycle - rapid rinsing
A quick rinse of the ion exchange bed takes place again to get rid of excess sodium ions. The duration of the cycle is 7 minutes


After the fourth bed regeneration process, the water softener goes into water softening mode.
The next regeneration process takes place when water is consumed, in the amount calculated by the softener on the basis of the entered water hardness.
